Iris Pallida Extrait 6 is Guerlain’s ode to the most elegant of florals — but with a twist. Despite its name, GC-MS analysis reveals no conclusive trace of natural orris butter or iris absolute. Instead, the iris effect is built through a signature Guerlain base, rich in ionones, musks, and creamy woods.

The opening is radiant and musky, with Hedione HC, Galaxolide, and Musk T creating a soft, diffusive glow. Then comes the illusion: Alpha Irone, Alpha Ionone, and Nympheal simulate the powdery floral heart, while Vanillin and Heliotropin add almond-like sweetness.

Sandalwood and Javanol provide a creamy, suede-like texture, and the drydown is a whisper of Cosmone, Coumarin, and soft aldehydes. This is iris as an impression — abstract, modern, and unmistakably Guerlain.
